About the Tour

We encourage you to explore one of the most attractive volcanoes in Costa Rica. A scenic drive through the green countryside, passing huge coffee and strawberry plantations, takes you to the top of Poás Volcano. Considered one of the widest accessible volcanic craters in the world, it offers an easy walk to the edge where you can observe the active freatic lagoon with its beautiful and changing colors. The park features two different trails for a short or medium walk in its exuberant cloud forest. A cafeteria and a gift shop are also available on site.
